A bucket shop inside a pressure-vessel group
Sieruta Attachments is one of three divisions in a family-owned Polish industrial group founded in 1996. The others build stainless-steel tanks and industrial installations. The group holds UDT authorisations for the manufacture, modernisation and repair of pressure vessels: the credential that gates process-industry subcontracting in Poland.
That is where the welding standard comes from. Quenched-and-tempered wear plate has to be welded with care. Poorly controlled heat input, preheat and interpass temperature increase the risk of excessive HAZ softening and hydrogen-assisted cold cracking in quenched-and-tempered steels. A shop already audited for pressure equipment runs those controls as a matter of routine, and the attachments division, established in 2008, inherited them along with the qualified procedures and the material certificates.
