Excavator tools

Asphalt cutters, rippers, rakes and grading beams for the jobs a bucket cannot do, built in Ostrołęka.

All sets

Full-size excavator attachments

Non-bucket attachments

Attachments other than buckets: grading beams for finishing, single rippers and multi-rippers for hard ground, and asphalt cutters for removing pavement.

  • TH - hydraulic thumb for excavator10–30 tons

    Standard

TH - Hydraulic thumb for excavator

The thumb grips against the bucket and folds back against the stick when you do not need it. The excavator picks up and holds rocks, logs, pipes and debris.

  • AC - excavator asphalt cutters12–30 tons

    Standard

    AC - Excavator asphalt cutters

A 450 mm steel disc, symmetrical (ACs) or asymmetrical (ACa). It makes clean cuts in asphalt for road repairs, utility trenches and pavement and kerb work.

  • MR - heavy duty excavator multi-ripper11–32 tons

    Standard

MR - Heavy duty excavator multi-ripper

The MR multi-ripper enters the ground on several legs at once and breaks up and loosens compacted material.

  • RIP - heavy duty ripper14–65 tons

    Standard

    RIP - Heavy duty ripper

A single shank made of high-strength steel, with a protector over the shank. It breaks up hard soil, rock and frozen ground, so the material can then be loaded with an ordinary digging bucket.

  • DuoRIP - double ripper for root extraction2.5–30 tons

    Standard

DuoRIP - double ripper for root extraction

Two shanks go deep into the ground at once. It rips out root systems, large roots and stumps when land is cleared for a site.

  • GRB - excavator grading beam2.5–30 tons

    Standard

    GRB - Excavator grading beam

A grading beam for excavators up to 30 t. It levels large areas for driveways, roads and building sites.

Also available

  • RRB - root rake bucket profile0.6–9 tons

    Standard

RRB - Root rake bucket profile

Tines set in a bucket-shaped frame rake out roots and stones, then carry and dump what they collect. Clearing and loading are done in the same pass.

  • RRH - root rake with hydraulic clamp

    Configured

RRH - Root rake with hydraulic clamp

A root rake with a hydraulic top clamp: it pulls out roots and holds them against the tines.

  • RC - root cutter0.6–10 tons

    Standard

    RC - Root cutter

Three sizes, from 13 to 47 kg, each fitting the quick-coupler brackets in its table. It cuts roots on excavators from 0.6 to 10 t.

Compact excavator attachments

Other mini-ex attachments

Other attachments for mini-excavators.

  • LR mini - straight land rakes for mini-excavator0.7–10 tons

    Standard

LR mini - straight land rakes for mini-excavator

Tines instead of a solid shell pull out roots, brush and stones while the soil falls back through. A plot is cleared before levelling without carting away the topsoil.

  • LRS - short land rakes for mini-excavators0.7–15 tons

    Standard

LRS - Short land rakes for mini-excavators

A shorter, narrower land rake for small machines working in tight plots and along boundaries. It pulls out roots and stones and lets the soil fall through.

  • RIP mini - ripper shank for mini-excavator0.8–14 tons

    Standard

RIP mini - ripper shank for mini-excavator

Mini-excavator rippers break up hard ground before trenching and foundation work.

  • MR mini - multi-ripper for mini-excavator1.2–14 tons

    Standard

    MR mini - multi-ripper for mini-excavator

Multi-rippers for mini-excavators break up hard soil and debris when you prepare a site.

  • AC mini - asphalt cutter for mini-excavator2–12 tons

    Standard

AC mini - asphalt cutter for mini-excavator

Asphalt cutter for mini-excavators. The 450 mm steel disc cuts asphalt for roadworks, repairs and utility trenches.

  • GRB light - mini-excavator grading beam with lowered mass0.6–7 tons

    Standard

GRB light - mini-excavator grading beam with lowered mass

A grading beam for mini excavators from 0.6 to 7.0 t. It levels the ground for driveways, roads and building pads.

How to choose

Tools are the attachments that do a job a bucket cannot: open a surface, break ground, pull roots, level a bed or hold a load. Sieruta builds them in Ostrołęka, Poland, from Hardox® and Strenx steel, and the range is grouped here the way the work is grouped on site. Asphalt cutters open a road or a yard along a clean line before the trench is dug, and there are two families, the AC for excavators and the AC mini for mini excavators. Rippers & rakes is the largest group with ten families: single ripper shanks and multi-rippers for frozen ground, hard clay and soft rock, the DuoRIP that takes a stump out whole, the RC root cutter, land rakes for clearing cut brush, and the RRB and RRH root rakes that collect roots while the soil falls back on the plot. Grading beams finish a slope or a bed in long passes, with the GRB for excavators and the GRB mini and GRB light drawn for small carriers. The hydraulic thumb turns the bucket into a grab for pipe, stone and timber. Every family is built for a carrier weight band and takes the same bracket systems as our buckets, so a tool goes on the coupler you already run.

  1. 1

Name the job, then take its group

Opening a surface, breaking ground, pulling roots, levelling and holding are five different jobs. Asphalt cutters, rippers & rakes and grading beams each have their own page under this one, and the hydraulic thumb sits directly here. Write down what the crew does most often in a week and the list of candidates usually drops to two.

  2. 2

Stay inside the carrier weight band

A ripper or a grading beam built for a heavier machine overloads the stick and upsets the balance of a small carrier. On a beam it also puts the work outside the reach the machine was rated for. Each family page names its band.

  3. 3

Check the hydraulics for a powered tool

A hydraulic thumb and a grab root rake need an auxiliary circuit and a control in the cab, while a ripper, a rake or a grading beam is passive and needs nothing. Tell us what the carrier already has and we will say which version it can run.

  4. 4

Match the working width to the site

A wide grading beam finishes a surface in fewer passes but needs room to swing and more machine to carry it; a narrow rake works between plantings. Where access is tight, the smaller model finishes the day sooner than the bigger one.

  5. 5

Order the tool with the bracket you run

Every tool is built with the bracket system of the coupler on your machine, whether that is S, CW, MS or a pin grabber, or as a direct fit on pins. Give us the system and the size on the quote form and it arrives ready to hang.

Questions we are asked

What is the difference between a ripper and a multi-ripper?
A single ripper concentrates the whole force of the machine on one tooth and goes deepest in hard ground. A multi-ripper carries several teeth, moves more material per pass and suits looser, stony soil.
Which tool pulls out stumps and roots?
The DuoRIP takes a stump or a root ball out whole with two shanks, and the RRB and RRH root rakes collect roots and cut brush while the soil falls back on the plot.
Can I use a grading beam on a mini excavator?
Yes. The GRB mini and the lighter GRB light are drawn for mini carriers and keep the beam mass down, which is what lets a small machine work at full reach safely.
Does a hydraulic thumb need extra plumbing?
It needs one double-acting auxiliary circuit and a control in the cab. If the carrier has none, we can quote the passive tools that do the nearest job instead.
Will a tool fit the coupler I already have?
Yes, if you tell us the system and the size when you ask for the price. We build the bracket for your coupler, and a direct fit on pins is also possible.
