Special use buckets

Special use buckets: hydraulic clamp buckets for gripping, profile buckets for trenches, and buckets with custom angles for specific jobs.

  • CB - heavy duty hydraulic clamp bucket10–26 tonsStandard

CB Heavy duty hydraulic clamp bucket

A hydraulic clamp arm closes onto the load, and a double pilot check valve holds it shut if a hose fails. The excavator digs, then picks up rubble, stumps, pipes and awkward stone.

  • TR - trapezoid profile digging bucketBuilt to your machine

    TR Trapezoid profile digging bucket

The sloped side walls form the ditch section in a single pass, so drainage channels and utility ditches need no follow-up trimming.

  • UB - U-shape digging bucketBuilt to your machine

    UB U-shape digging bucket

The bucket cuts a U-shaped trench bottom to profile in one pass. Pipe laying and utility work need less backfilling, less handwork and less spoil hauled away.

  • VB - V-shape digging bucketBuilt to your machine

    VB V-shape digging bucket

The bucket angle is made to your slope. It cuts a V-shaped ditch or slope in one pass for drainage channels, swales and road shoulders.

Also available

  • KS - Scandinavian profile cable bucketBuilt to your machine

    KS Scandinavian profile cable bucket

The narrow Scandinavian profile and reinforced side plates cut a steep-walled trench in one pass. Cable, conduit and pipe bedding sits flat, and the narrow trench takes less backfill.

How to choose

A bucket is the part of the machine that actually meets the ground, so it decides how fast the work goes and how long the wear parts last. Sieruta builds excavator buckets in Ostrołęka, Poland, from Hardox® and Strenx steel, and the range covers the jobs a contractor meets in one week: trenching in mixed soil, bulk digging in sand or gravel, cleaning and profiling a ditch, grading a slope before turf goes down, screening stone out of spoil, and lifting rock with a heavy-duty profile. Each family is drawn for a carrier weight band. A bucket for a 3 t mini excavator has its own shape and structure, different from one for a 30 t machine. Choose the family by the job first, then the width by the trench or the profile you need, then the bracket by the coupler already on the machine. The model tables on every family page carry the capacity, the width, the weight and the carrier range read off the catalogue, so you can compare two candidates before you ask for a price. For digging, the DB is the bucket for soil, trenches, foundations and bulk material, built as Economy, Standard or Heavy Duty in the sizes of its model table. When the ground is rock, choose its sibling, the DBS rock bucket. It is engineered to order: we design it for one machine and the rock it digs, and the teeth, adapters, side cutters and wear protection are chosen for that rock. Tell us the rock and the machine, and our engineers design the bucket around them.

  1. 1

    Start with the carrier weight

Every family lists the excavator weight band it is drawn for. A bucket built for a heavier machine puts load into a stick and a boom that were never sized for it, and one built for a lighter machine wears out early. Match the band first and the rest of the choice gets much shorter.

  2. 2

Pick the profile by the job

Digging buckets penetrate and fill; grading and ditch-cleaning buckets have a wide, shallow profile and a straight edge for finishing; riddle buckets let soil fall through and keep the stone; grab buckets hold material that a fixed bucket cannot. Two of them will usually cover a contractor's week.

  3. 3

Let the trench set the width

A narrow bucket digs a narrow trench faster and moves less spoil; a wide one finishes a surface in fewer passes. Where a pipe or a cable sets the trench width, that number picks the bucket. Widths run in steps inside each family, so read the model table rather than assuming a size exists.

  4. 4

Check the bracket before you order

The bucket has to meet the coupler already on the machine. Tell us the coupler make and size, or the pin dimensions for a direct fit, and we build the bracket to it. The quick-coupler pages list the systems we make, and the quote form has a field for the one you run.

  5. 5

    Decide the wear package

Teeth, side cutters, wear bars and a bolt-on edge are chosen from the material you dig. Abrasive ground takes more wear steel and pays it back; clean soil rarely does. Say what you dig and we will say what we would fit.

Questions we are asked

Which bucket do I need for a 5 t excavator?

Filter this page by the 1 to 6 t carrier class and the families drawn for that band are what is left. Inside a family, the model table gives the widths and the weights; pick the width from the trench you dig most often.

What steel are the buckets made from?

It depends on the family. The body is structural or high-strength steel, wear parts such as cutting edges and wear bars are Hardox® or HB500, and skeleton rods are C45 or Hardox®. The grades used in a given family are stated on that family's page.

Can I get a bucket for a coupler I already own?

Yes. We build the bracket for the coupler on your machine. Give us the coupler make and size in the quote form, or the pin centres and pin diameter for a direct fit.

Do you build a size that is not in the catalogue?

Yes, this is custom engineering rather than a catalogue order. Our design office draws it, and the offer states the price and the delivery date for that drawing.

How long is the warranty?

12 months. The office in Ostrołęka answers technical questions and normally replies within 1 working day.
