The whole range: Excavator buckets

Families

  • CB - heavy duty hydraulic clamp bucket10–26 tonsStandard

CB Heavy duty hydraulic clamp bucket

A hydraulic clamp arm closes onto the load, and a double pilot check valve holds it shut if a hose fails. The excavator digs, then picks up rubble, stumps, pipes and awkward stone.

  • DB - heavy duty digging bucket10–50 tons

    StandardEarthmoving / heavy duty

    DB Heavy duty digging bucket

A digging bucket for most materials, with a rock version for harder ground.

  • DBS - engineered rock bucket for excavatorEngineered to orderRock / severe duty, engineered to order

DBS Engineered rock bucket for excavator

Teeth, adapters, side cutters and wear protection are chosen for your machine and the rock you dig. Each bucket passes a factory acceptance test before dispatch.

  • DBF - flat-top digging bucket for quick coupler10–50 tonsStandard

DBF Flat-top digging bucket for quick coupler

The flat top suits excavators that change attachments on a quick coupler. It comes in Economy, Standard, Heavy Duty and Rock versions.

  • DSX - Nordic heavy duty digging bucket14–40 tonsStandard

DSX Nordic heavy duty digging bucket

Nordic profile heavy duty digging bucket for excavators from 14 to 40 t, made of Hardox® 450 for rocky ground.

  • UB - U-shape digging bucketBuilt to your machine

    UB U-shape digging bucket

The bucket cuts a U-shaped trench bottom to profile in one pass. Pipe laying and utility work need less backfilling, less handwork and less spoil hauled away.

  • VB - V-shape digging bucketBuilt to your machine

    VB V-shape digging bucket

The bucket angle is made to your slope. It cuts a V-shaped ditch or slope in one pass for drainage channels, swales and road shoulders.

Which digging bucket for which job?

The digging bucket is the one an excavator works with most of the day. The DB is our base model for large excavators. Its shell is bent twice, with a double radius and a double cone, so it holds the digging angle and the material flows in evenly. It comes in seven sizes from DB-120 to DB-500, 400 to 1800 mm wide, as Economy up to 24 t, Standard in every size and Heavy Duty from 24 t. If your excavator works on a quick coupler, take the DBF: the same shape with a flat top, and brackets from S45 to S90, OQ45 to OQ90 and SW33 to SW66 depending on size. In rocky ground, abrasive material and demolition, the DSX in the Nordic profile works with a Hardox® 450 body. For rock, we design the DBS for your machine and your stone. If the trench should come out in profile, the UB digs a U-shaped bottom and the VB a V profile at the slope you need, which saves finishing by hand. The CB has a hydraulic clamp arm that holds rubble, stumps and pipes. Teeth come in the CAT J series, BYG Futura and ESCO UltraLok systems.

Frequently asked questions

Which digging bucket fits my excavator?

The DB fits excavators from 10 to 50 t, in seven sizes from DB-120 to DB-500. The DSX in the Nordic profile fits machines from 14 to 40 t. For excavators on a quick coupler there is the flat-top DBF, also for machines from 10 to 50 t.

What is the difference between the DB and the DBF?

Both buckets are for excavators from 10 to 50 t. The DBF has a flat top and is built for excavators that change attachments on a quick coupler. It comes in Economy, Standard and Heavy Duty versions, and a Rock version is available for mining and quarrying.

Which bucket cuts a trench profile in one pass?

The UB digs a trench with a U-shaped bottom, the VB a ditch or slope in a V shape, and the TR a drainage ditch with sloped side walls. All three cut the profile in one pass.

Is there a digging bucket for rock?

Yes. We design the DBS for one machine and the rock it digs. Teeth, adapters, side cutters and wear protection are chosen for the job, and every bucket passes a factory acceptance test before dispatch.

Which teeth fit the digging bucket?

The DB, DBF and SDB come with the CAT J Series, BYG Futura and ESCO UltraLok tooth systems. Take the system you already stock or your dealer carries, and your spare teeth stay the same. On the UB and VB we also match the teeth to the ground.

What do Economy, Standard and Heavy Duty mean?

They are the versions of the DB and DBF. Economy is for excavators up to 24 t, Standard comes in every size and Heavy Duty is for machines from 24 t. For mining and quarrying the DBF also comes in a Rock version. Which one fits depends on how heavy and how abrasive the ground you mostly work in is.

How wide should the digging bucket be?

The width follows the job first, then the machine. For narrow trenches, for example for utility lines, take a narrow bucket; for earthmoving and loading, a wide one. The DB and DBF are 400 to 1800 mm wide, and the DBF holds 160 to 2611 litres. The model table shows which widths there are for your machine class.

Which quick couplers does the DBF fit?

Depending on its size, the DBF has mountings for S45 to S90, MS10 to MS25, OQ45 to OQ90, M18 and M26, S1 to S3 and SW33 to SW66. Tell us your quick coupler and we fit the matching mounting.
