The RIP is a single shank ripper for excavators, with a protector over the shank. It opens ground a bucket cannot enter: compacted soil, frost, hard clay, soft rock and old surfaces. It also cuts roots and lifts stumps. The ripped material stays where it is and is loaded afterwards with an ordinary digging bucket.
About this family
Rippers for large excavators, for breaking up hard ground
The shank is 75 mm thick in every size, the front edge carries a protector, and the point is a CAT 9W-2451, a common replaceable tooth.
Four sizes are built. Ripper-C for machines of 14 to 18 t weighs 280 kg, Ripper-D for 19 to 29 t weighs 403 kg, Ripper-E for 30 to 40 t weighs 490 kg, and Ripper-H for 40 to 65 t weighs 684 kg. The length, tip and height of each size are in the model table on this page.
It mounts direct on the stick or on a quick coupler bracket: S60 to S90, MS10 to MS25, CW20 to CW55, OQ65 to OQ90, M18 and M26, S1 to S3, SW33 to SW66.
Features
- Ripping Hard Ground: The single shank breaks up tough soil, rock and frozen ground.
- Loading: The ripper breaks material up and the loosened material is loaded afterwards.
- Material: Made of high-strength steel.
- Four sizes: Ripper-C 14 to 18 t at 280 kg, Ripper-D 19 to 29 t at 403 kg, Ripper-E 30 to 40 t at 490 kg, Ripper-H 40 to 65 t at 684 kg
