The SDB is a skeleton version of the DB digging bucket. Rods take the place of the solid bottom, so soil falls through while stone, rubble and roots stay in the bucket.
About this family
SDB skeleton bucket: a digging bucket with steel ribs that let fine material fall through as you dig.
The SDB skeleton bucket digs and sifts in one pass. Interlocking steel ribs sift and separate the material while you dig. It is used for trenching, drainage work and pipe bedding.
The sorting happens as you dig, which is why it is used for trenching, drainage and pipe bedding: the fines go back in the trench and the stone goes on the heap. Six sizes cover machines from 10 to 50 t, SDB-120 through SDB-500, in widths from 1000 to 2000 mm and weights from 286 to 2172 kg.
Rods are C45 as standard and Hardox® on request, and the spacing is built to the material you sort. Teeth come in the CAT J series, BYG Futura and ESCO UltraLok systems.
