A root rake in a bucket profile: tines set in a bucket-shaped frame, so it rakes out roots and stones and can still carry and dump what it collects. It is used where clearing and loading are the same job.

The Root Rake Bucket is for vegetation management and land clearing with compact excavators in the 0.6-9 ton class. A standard excavator bucket has a solid cutting edge. The Root Rake has open tines that separate roots, brush, and organic debris from the topsoil.
