The DBF is a digging bucket with a flat top, for excavators that work with a quick coupler. The flat top is made for a quick coupler, so the bucket changes over quickly between digging jobs. Seven sizes, DBF-120 to DBF-500, cover machines from 10 to 50 t.
About this family
The DBF digging bucket has a flat top and is made for excavators that change attachments on a quick coupler.
The DBF bucket is made for full-size excavators with a quick coupler. Changing attachments is quick, so you can move between digging jobs with less downtime.
Widths run from 400 to 1800 mm, capacity from 160 to 2611 litres (SAE) and weight from 155 to 1765 kg. The bucket has a double radius and double conical shape.
It comes in three versions: Economy (up to 24 t), Standard (all sizes) and Heavy Duty (24 t and up). A Rock version is available for mining and quarrying. Teeth systems are CAT J, BYG Futura and ESCO UltraLok.
The brackets listed by size are S45 to S90, MS10 to MS25, OQ45 to OQ90, M18 and M26, S1 to S3 and SW33 to SW66.

Typical jobs
The DBF Excavator Quick Coupler Digging Bucket is used for:
- Large-scale excavation projects requiring frequent attachment changes (foundations, basements, trenches)
- Construction and demolition work
- Jobsites where one excavator changes often between several attachments
- Mining and quarrying operations with various digging requirements (Rock version)
- Jobs where an attachment change must not keep the excavator standing for long

DBF is for
- Excavators that change attachments on a quick coupler
- Foundations, trenches, construction and demolition work
- A size picked from the model table, built as Economy, Standard or Heavy Duty
Choose DB instead if
- The bucket fits directly on the machine or on an SW or CW bracket
Choose DSX instead if
- You dig rocky ground or abrasive material and want a Nordic profile bucket with a Hardox® body
Choose DBS instead if
- You dig rock and want the bucket designed for your machine and that rock
