Pick the system on your machine and we put it in your enquiry. We check the bracket before we send the quote.
How to measure your coupler
Not sure which system it is? Three measurements tell us which bracket you need.
- Measure the diameter of both pins.
- Measure the distance between the pin centres.
- Measure the width between the inside faces of the ears.
If the coupler has a make or type printed on it, send that too.
Before you order: check the interface
The weight class of the Caterpillar M318 sizes the attachment. It does not tell you the pin diameter, the pin spacing or the stick width, and those decide whether an attachment fits. Measure them on the machine, or send us the measurements of the bucket it runs today.
At this weight the choice is mostly about the material. A general purpose bucket suits soil and gravel, a reinforced bucket with thicker wear parts suits mixed ground and broken rock, and the quick coupler on the machine sets the bracket every attachment needs.
Quick coupler brackets at this weight
In our model tables, the attachments listed for the Caterpillar M318 at its weight are built with these brackets. Each code opens the models that list it.
- Measure the diameter of both bucket pins.
- Measure the distance between the pin centres.
- Measure the inside width between the stick ears.
- If the machine runs a quick coupler, note its make and type.

What the M318 figures mean for its attachments
- Its auxiliary circuit is rated at 250 l/min and 350 bar. A breaker, auger, tilt rotator or other hydraulic tool states the oil flow it needs, so choose one whose range includes this figure.
- The main pump delivers up to 254 l/min at 350 bar. That is the pump output of the whole machine, not the flow an attachment gets.
- Caterpillar lists this quick coupler for it: CW30. The bracket on every attachment has to match the coupler. The attachments we build with CW30 brackets
- It digs down to 6,290 mm. That is the deepest trench it can open.
- Its maximum reach is 9,610 mm.
- It dumps at up to 7,620 mm, so a truck or skip side has to sit below that height.
- Caterpillar offers arms from 2,200 to 2,900 mm. A longer arm reaches further, a shorter one handles a heavier bucket.
- Caterpillar lists buckets from 600 to 1,800 mm wide for this machine. Our sizes in that range: DB - heavy duty digging bucket (DB-190, DB-230); SDB - heavy duty skeleton DB bucket (SDB-230); DBF - flat-top digging bucket for quick coupler (DBF-190, DBF-230); RDBF - flat-top skeleton DBF bucket on rods (RDBF-190, RDBF-230); DSX - Nordic heavy duty digging bucket (DS-HD-190, DS-HD-250); GD - rigid grading & ditching bucket, 12–40 t (GD-190, GD-230); GDH - heavy duty hydraulic grading & ditching bucket (GDH-190, GDH-230); SB - Dutch profile grading & ditching bucket (SB-190, SB-230); DCB - grading & ditching bucket with round profile (DCB-190, DCB-230); PS - Scandinavian universal / grading bucket (PS-190, PS-230); PSH - hydraulic swivelling grading bucket (PS-190, PS-230); CB - heavy duty hydraulic clamp bucket (CBR-190, CBR-260)
- Caterpillar lists bucket capacities from 0.33 to 1.53 m³.
- Caterpillar gives a lifting capacity of 6,600 kg. Check a heavy grab or hammer, plus its load, against the full load chart.
- For transport it measures 8,470 x 2,540 x 3,220 mm (length, width, height).
