Which coupler is on your machine?

Pick the system on your machine and we put it in your enquiry. We check the bracket before we send the quote.

How to measure your coupler
Drawing of a bracket with the pin diameter (1), the pin centre distance (2) and the ear width (3) marked

Not sure which system it is? Three measurements tell us which bracket you need.

  1. Measure the diameter of both pins.
  2. Measure the distance between the pin centres.
  3. Measure the width between the inside faces of the ears.

If the coupler has a make or type printed on it, send that too.

Before you order: check the interface

The weight class of the JCB 36C-1 sizes the attachment. It does not tell you the pin diameter, the pin spacing or the stick width, and those decide whether an attachment fits. Measure them on the machine, or send us the measurements of the bucket it runs today.

On a mini excavator the weight of the attachment counts for more than on a larger machine, because every kilogram of bucket is taken from lift capacity and stability. A narrow trenching bucket and a wide grading bucket are the usual pair, and many machines run a small quick coupler to change between them.

Quick coupler brackets at this weight

In our model tables, the attachments listed for the JCB 36C-1 at its weight are built with these brackets. Each code opens the models that list it.

  1. Measure the diameter of both bucket pins.
  2. Measure the distance between the pin centres.
  3. Measure the inside width between the stick ears.
  4. If the machine runs a quick coupler, note its make and type.

What the 36C-1 figures mean for its attachments

  • Its auxiliary circuit is rated at 70 l/min and 190 bar. A breaker, auger, tilt rotator or other hydraulic tool states the oil flow it needs, so choose one whose range includes this figure.
  • The main pump delivers up to 76 l/min at 250 bar. That is the pump output of the whole machine, not the flow an attachment gets.
  • JCB lists this quick coupler for it: hydraulic quick hitch. The bracket on every attachment has to match the coupler.
  • It digs down to 3,480 mm. That is the deepest trench it can open.
  • Its maximum reach is 5,022 mm.
  • It dumps at up to 3,530 mm, so a truck or skip side has to sit below that height.
  • JCB offers arms from 1,300 to 1,600 mm. A longer arm reaches further, a shorter one handles a heavier bucket.
  • Bucket breakout force is 32.4 kN and arm crowd force 22.5 kN. That is the force a bucket or ripper works with at the tooth.
  • For transport it measures 4,806 x 1,550 x 2,482 mm (length, width, height).
  • Engine power is 18.4 kW.

Questions about the 36C-1

Which quick coupler is installed on your 36C-1?
JCB lists this coupler for it: hydraulic quick hitch. Order attachments with the matching bracket.
Can the 36C-1 run a hydraulic attachment?
Yes, if the tool's rated range covers the auxiliary circuit: 70 l/min at 190 bar.
